8 Low-Cost Businesses You Can Start Now

8 zero cost business ideas

If you want to start a successful business, you may know that you will need a capital, workplace, and many other resources. Although, I will share eight business ideas that may cost you $0.00.
You can start today with no wary of wasting your time and money.

1- Start a Niche Blog/Website.

If you can write articles about a specific topic or product, you can build a website or blog, and publish blog posts to generate traffic and monetize your blog/website.
This method requires basic knowledge in Keyword research, and Search Engine Optimization (SEO). To make it clearer, suppose you build a website talking about vacuum cleaners, and already have posts discussing different types and prices of this product, your website receives a number of visitors every month, now you can sell amazon products on your website, or even, more easier, to put ads on your website.
Many bloggers make serious money from their niches. If you want to start your own niche, you will need:

  1. Topic or product for your niche.
  2. Website or blog to publish your content and ads on.
  3. Keyword research and SEO.

2- Make an online course.

If you are a teacher, student, or have experience in any topic, you can launch an online course, and make money teaching people who want to learn something that you know much about.
To start your online course, pick a paper and write down things, or topics, you may be expert on. Physics, Chemistry, Drawing, Photography, Programming, Video Editing, English Learning, or any topic. I am sure you have knowledge in something that others need. After you write down some topics, go to Udemy, or any other online course platform, and search your topic to see what courses are out there. This way you should have an idea about the course you will be giving, then make a plan of how your course will go.

3- Sell Digital Downloads.

If you can create an eBook, Guide, Template, or Case Study, you can sell them as a digital product. People will pay for you if you have a useful content that helps them accomplish something within life or business.
Business plan.
Make a basic website that contains some content related to your product, and information about you and your product. This way, you can target audience and convince them to buy your digital product.
Keep working on yourself, increase your knowledge, study the market needs, and learn from other people or competitors.

4- Start a Podcast.

Many people make sustainable income from podcasts. If you have an experience in a specific topic, interview some successful people in the field, and launch your podcast.
You will need to market your podcast and attract more listeners, once you have enough listeners, at least a thousand listeners per episode, start bringing some premium sponsors.
After bringing some sponsors, they will pay you to put their products on your podcast.

5- Remote English Teacher.

There are countless people in foreign countries eager to learn English; they are ready to pay you $25+/hr. to teach them English on Skype or other video chat platform.
There are jobs posted frequently requesting remote English tutors.
You may need to have a certification that qualifies you to work as a remote English tutor, instead, if you are a native English speaker, you may not have a certification but you can still teach people to speak like a native speaker by making a YouTube channel and upload lessons and monetize your channel (as explained in method no.8).

6- Freelance Within Your Industry.

Every job can be done on a freelance basis, instead of going to work every day, sign up on a freelancing website, such as freelancer.com, upwork.com, or fiverr.com, and people will hire you to do work for them. Read: How to Make $50,000+ Doing Voice-over Services
You can freelance within any skill you have: writing, video editing, web design, development, programming, and more.
You have two options, whether you have a skill and ready to freelance, or you need to develop a new skill and start to freelance. This guide will show you, step by step, how to pick a topic and freelance (soon).

7- Launch a Photography Business.

You can rent a professional camera or use your smartphone camera to practice photography, and learn from pro photographers online. Once you developed your skill, build your own portfolio on Behance and publish your shots on social networks to gain followers.
After reaching a good level, you can sell prints, do client shots for money, teach online photography course, hold workshops, or even make a photography blog and monetize your blog by putting ads from AdSense or Amazon affiliate program.

8- Start a YouTube Channel.

Many people make millions of dollars per year; you can make a good income from YouTube.
In most cases, it is good for you to create a channel, even if you own a niche or another business, you can still make a side income from uploading your videos on YouTube.
If you intend to make money from YouTube ONLY, you will need to search for topics that attract high search volumes, and learn techniques to appear on first search result page, that way, you will make a few million views and serious money as well.
There will be a step-by-step guide to get you into YouTube and make sustainable income from it soon; so keep following us. 🙂

You can mix between the ideas. For example, if you start a niche, you can also make videos related to your niche topic and upload them on a YouTube channel. This way, you will attract more visitors.

As you can see, it is all about mastering skills and monetizing them. If you are an expert on a particular topic, I guarantee you a profitable business. Therefore, you need to start from the beginning.

If you want to start your profitable business, you should ask yourself, “What service are you going to make for people?” Once you have the answer, you can use one of the methods mentioned above. Otherwise, you can start here to choose a skill and develop it.

First of all I would like to say fantastic blog!I had a quick question that I’d like to ask if you don’t mind.I was curious to know how you center yourself and clear your thoughtsbefore writing. I’ve had a hard time clearingmy mind in getting my thoughts out. I do enjoy writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15minutes are usually wasted simply just trying to figure outhow to begin. Any suggestions or hints? Thank you!

    1. Hello, Brandi.
Before you start blogging, you need to set the topic, according to that topic you will be able to set a plan. For example, you set the topic to be the business, the next step is to make a plan for what people need to know such as ‘business ideas’ and ‘how to market your business’ .. etc . This way you will be able to specify topics you are going to talk about. The next step is gathering information. To achieve that look up the internet for trusted resources.
I will also be talking about tips for bloggers in the few coming articles.
      Good luck!
